RARE Limited Edition DBX encoded audiophile vinyl LP pressing -- JACK SHELDON - Playin' It Straight -- 1981 M&K RealTime Records - USA (pressed in Germany) -- RT-303. NOTE: This is a DBX encoded disc, and should be used only with DBX decoding equipment. Great session from some of the Tonight Show's most memorable musicians, featuring leader, Jack Sheldon (trumpet), Pete Christlieb (saxophone), Tommy Newsom (saxophone), Mundell Lowe (guitar), Alan Broadbent (piano), Ed Shaughnessy (drums) and Joel Di Bartolo (bass). Vinyl LP in excellent condition -- a couple of light surface marks, one of which causes a momentary tick toward the end of the second to last track on side two (and slightly into the last track on this side). Gatefold sleeve/jacket is in VG+ condition -- light edge wear, moderate corner wear, a few small crease marks, a couple of scuffs, a small blue pen ink mark (the word, "bass!") on the back to help note the presence of deep bass frequencies on the second to last track on side two ("On Green dolphin Street"), and the original DBX sticker still affixed to the front of the gatefold.
