MEGA RARE!! JACKIE EDWARDS LP.
“Put Your Tears Away”. Original 1969 UK Pink Island
Very earliest FIRST PRESSING!! STEREO!!!
Up for auction is this very RARE Jackie Edwards album on its original 1969 Pink Island, Black (i) logo label. Any Jackie Edwards album is rare, so don’t miss this one.
COVER: EX+. Tiny bit of laminate wrinkle and light corner crease at bottom right. TOP GLOSS laminate. Back of cover is nice and clean and white where it should be white (see photos). Please note that my picture shows a yellow casting over the back cover. This is just my crap photo. Apologies, but it is white.
VINYL: Still retains its just pressed glossy sheen and is perfectly flat with no warps, skips or jumps. Vinyl does display a couple of very minor scuffs and an odd light stylus touch, and I mean light. Nothing serious or ugly. Track one, side two shows some minor ‘rubbing’ in part of the track only. Again. Nothing serious. Graded; a very strong EX/EX+.
LABELS: Super clean lush pink. Black lettering is very strong. Tiny spindle trails only.
MATRIX NUMBERS: SIDE ONE: 1 WPS+4+A
SIDE TWO: 1 WPS+4+B
INNER SLEEVE: EX.
AUDIO: Despite my detailed description of the visual appearance of the vinyl, which by the way is being more honest than critical, the sounds are truly superb and rich. There are no nasty intrusions or clicks or jumps here whatsoever. Put your system on bass boost and just sit back and let these wonderful warm soul sounds wash over you.
To sum up. This album is definitely a MUST HAVE ALBUM of wonderful quality, and would certainly be a great addition to any existing collection. The sounds are superb and truly classic. This rare album does not surface very often, so don’t miss out. Grab yourself a large slice of great musical history - and enjoy!!
