Description

PLEASE READ AD CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING. THANK YOU.

WARNING:

PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF YOUR FEEDBACK SCORE IS 0 OR 1. I AM SORRY, BUT YOU MAY BLAME THE SCAMMERS.

Up for bids is an original Mono Jazz LP by Jackie McLean and Bill Hardman called "Jackie's Pal" on Prestige Records. PRLP 7068. Released in 1956.

RARE 1ST PRESSING WITH ADDRESSES "446 West 50th Street, New York 19, N.Y." ON THE BACK OF COVER, AND "446 W. 50TH ST., N.Y.C." ON BOTH LABELS!

Deep Groove pressing!

Edges of record are slightly raised.

Matrix (or trail-off) numbers have a stamped "B" then the hand-etched "RVG" followed by a hand-etched "PRLP-7068-A" and lastly a stamped "AB" for Side A, and a stamped "B" then the hand-etched "RVG" followed by a hand-etched "PRLP-7068-B" and lastly a stamped "AB" for Side B.

Front of cover is laminated.

Comes with plain white inner sleeve.

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in VG Minus condition. Some minor wear on front and back. Some writing and a stamped "JAZZ" on back cover. Bottom of spine has a tear. The rest of spine is all intact with some minor checking. Bottom corner at opening has a 1" split and a tiny diagonal tear. Bottom-center has some minor fraying. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, the opening area is very brittle on the front and back. The back is especially so (see third photo). Chances are it may continue to do so. I urge whoever wins this to be VERY CAREFUL when removing the record. Obviously the record will NOT be shipped in the cover, but then again, I don't usually do that anyway! Which brings us to the record......

I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG to VG+. Has some minor marks and wear on both sides that don't greatly affect play. There are a couple of scratches that do cause a few ticks, but they do not last long or skip on my player. Mild distortion at times (mainly on Side B). Overall, it still sounds great on my player!

Makes a great gift for any Jackie McLean or Bill Hardman fan!

See my other auctions for more funky original records, cassettes, reel to reels, CD’s, and 8 tracks!

MY APOLOGIES IF THE SCANS ARE BAD, BUT MY DESCRIPTIONS ARE USUALLY DEAD ACCURATE FOR BACKUP.
