Description

I am offering for auction a pristine copy of the very scarce and long out-of-print 6 LP Mosaic box set of The Complete Jackie McLean 1964 - 1966 Blue Note Recordings.  I purchased the set new from Mosaic upon its release in 1993 and played it once or twice at most.  This copy is # 1,295 of 5,000 and is complete with the box and booklet.  Please note that these LP's are pressed on heavy audiophile "Q" vinyl for superb fidelity.

This wonderful set contains the following LP's:  "It's Time;"  "Right Now;"  "Action;"  "Jacknife;" "Consequences" and "High Frequency."   "Jacknife" and "High Frequency" were assigned release numbers in 1966 but were not issued until the 1970's on a double LP entitled "Jacknife."

The personnel on these sides include Charles Tolliver, Lee Morgan, Larry Willis, Harold Mabern, Bobby Hutcherson, Cecil McBee, Bob Cranshaw, Billy Higgins and Jack DeJohnette, among others.
