Up for auction is an absolutely stunning copy of the Jackie McLean album "Lights Out!" released on Prestige Records (PRLP 7035) in 1956. This is a guaranteed original deep groove mono first pressing with RVG in the run-out groove. Correct "446 W. 50th St., NYC" address on labels, matching the correct W. 50th St., NYC address on the back cover. Comes with original factory onion paper inner sleeve, along with an audiophile protective sleeve.
The cover is in absolutely pristine condition, with virtually no signs of previous handling or wear. Beautiful high gloss lamination with no chips or ring wear. Seams are strong with no splits or cracking. Corners are sharp, no bumps, no rubbing. Back cover is a beautiful bone white with no signs of wear or age discoloration. The cover literally looks like it was just taken out of its original factory shrink wrap. A stunningly clean cover. I'd grade this cover Near Mint Plus (NM+). You will never find a nicer cover.
The vinyl is equally pristine. It looks "as new" with virtually no signs of previous handling or play. No scratches or scuffs. Labels are bright and clean, no marks around spindle holes. Super clean. I've play tested this record, and it sounds clean and beautiful. No background or surface noise to speak of. I'd be surprised if this copy has been played more than once before. I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM), my highest rating.
