Description

Jackie Orszaczky - Beramiada

Thank you for looking at my item.

Here on offer is one of Australia’s most unique albums. Entitled Beramiada by Jackie Orszaczky this rare album was issued on the independent label Real Records R322 in 1976. Its musicians sound like the who’s who of Australia’s 70s progressive rock.

· Graham Morgan – Drums (Arena, Mick Rodgers and Eclipse, Nova Express and Chain)

· Peter Jones – keyboards (Arena)

· John Robinson – Awesome Aussie guitarist (Duck, Dave Miller Set, Blackfeather)

· Michael Carlos – synthesiser – Tully, Levi Smith Clefs, Jeannie Lewis)

· Jacki Orszaczky – Bass (Syrius, Bakery)

This album is an intricate set of fusion, progressive and funk music – an amazing mix. As an Aussie record collector I have not heard another album like this. Definitely a must have album for any serious Australian – progressive/jazz collector. John Robinson’s guitar work is the surprise packet. Normally associated with thundering, heavy guitar work of Blackfeather he shows his versatility with some awesome work with rock fusion.

CONDITION

Cover – Some creasing, small tear and water damage at the bottom – Good.

Vinyl – Many light scuffs and minor marks. Some crackle and pops but fortunately does not adversely affect the enjoyment of this record to any great degree. A fantastic album with some great passages of clear, powerful music interspersed with some occasional noise – Good+++.

Songs include:

· Morning in Beramiada

· Thoughts of Home

· White Raven

· Friends of Mrs S

· Tubarose

In all a rare and fantastic Australian rock/fusion/funk album. Although not in mint condition is a solid filler. Rarely found by collectors these days.
