 Here's a recording of the Boswell Sisters from that little sliver of time just before they became the leading female singing group in the nation – at least until the Andrews Sisters came on the scene in the late '30s.

This one finds them at time when they were singing with Jackie Taylor and his orchestra. The trio were Connie, Vet and Martha, and their career really started into the bigtime once they signed up with Brunswick Records in early 1931.

This pair was cut in Hollywood on July 20, 1930. That's the Boswell Sisters on the vocal here on "We're On The Highway To Heaven." This is still about nine months before their first hit recording. On the other side is "When Love Comes In Moonlight" which has a vocal by Leigh Harline. BOTH songs are from the new movie "Oh, Sailor Beware."
