Description
Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?
I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this, and I almost have with these collectable gems.
I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.
SO HERE WE GO.......
For sale here is --JACKSON HEIGHTS--THE FIFTH AVENUE BUS-- UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH VERY FIRST PRESSING SLEEVE,1971, stereo 6360 067 The 64th of 87 UK pressings on this label. THE REST WILL FOLLOW!
SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD and UN-LAMINATED. This delicate un-laminated surface LOOKS NEW definately the best I have ever seen. It is in GREAT condition showing NO wear. It is a GENUINE VERY FIRST PRESSING. This album was never re-issued by Vertigo. This is an out standing copy of this sleeve. It is very flat and square. The colours are very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The top edge is MINT with NO wear. The bottom edge is also MINT with NO wear. The front is MINT with NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS AND NO STAINING.THE DOORS ON THE BUS HAVE NEVER BEEN OPEN!! NOT EVER!!. The rear is in the same wonderful MINT condition. The opening edges are in lovely condition with no tears and no feathering. The spine is one if the very few swirls without text of any sort and is in N/MINT condition . The inside gatefold is in fantastic condition and is clean and bright and LOOKS NEW. The only sign of wear ( and it is extremely minimal) is to the very very tips of the corners. This album comes with AN ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING SWIRL INNER SLEEVE in fantastic condition. All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 36year old sleeve. MINT-
LABELS......This is a genuine first pressing. Both labels are in wonderful condition, beautifully white with only one light spindle mark on side B and none on side A. MINT-
VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. As for surface marks, when you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see one or two very light surface marks. In normal daylight this album is PRISTINE. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES, CLICKS OR JUMPS. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo seperation. There are a very small amount of dust crackles that can be heard only in the very quiet parts of the music, but a professional clean should sort out most of that. This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions. These HEAVY VINYL origional pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER . N/MINT.....N/MINT, FANTASTIC!!!
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS ON THIS LABEL AND GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. IT IS RARE IN THIS 'SUPERB' CONDITION.
DONT MISS THIS ONE.
THERE CANT BE ANY OTHERS LEFT IN THIS LOVELY CONDITION.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
I prefer payment by paypal, UK bidders may use a personal cheque.
GOOD LUCK bidding! Brian.
