Description

Jacqueline Blancard, born in Paris 1909, studied with Isidor Philipp at the Conservatoire de Paris, 1926 won a first prize, performed as soloist and with numerous orchestra and chamber musicians. She was the first pianist to record Ravel's Concerto for the left hand with Charles Munch conducting. 1948 debut in the United States. Died October 24, 1979 in Paris

3 records 12" Odeon O 8785-8787: de Falla, Nuits dans les Jardins d'Espagne, with Orchestra de la Radio Suisse Romande, cond. by Ernest Ansermet. Grand price for Records 1943. Condition: 1-2

2 records 12" Decca X 204-205: Ravel, Concerto pour la main gauche, with the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra, cond. by Charles Münch. Condition: 2   A must for all collectors !

1-2 = top copy, no traces of use - virtually as new

2 = excellent copy, few light non-sounding rubs/marks

2-3 = light traces of wear (rubs/marks), very light greying and/or light scratches, non sounding blemishes

3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible

3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible

4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible

5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
