Contrary to the claim on the cover this is a beautiful MONO studio recording, Milano 1961

Note: exceptional original copy of one of the rarest of all European jazz releases


Condition

Cover: Strong VG+

Downgraded from NM because of 2 discrete library stamps and 

a minor annotation in faded ballpoint on back cover 

Front cover shows a slightly raised circular area caused by the records edges 

 NO ring wear however !!!!

Otherwise remarkable condition for this old style thin cover 

NO seam splits, NO corner bumps, NO paper loss, 

NO tears, NO wrinkles, NO creases, NO pin holes, NO other blemishes


Vinyl Visual Grading: VG+

Heavy platter, shiny surface, a few minor hairlines not affecting sound 

and a couple of small marks in the runout

Vinyl Audition Grading: NM

Undisturbed playback with warm & beautiful full dynamic MONO sound

NO scratches, NO surface noise, NO crackle, NO skips, NO ticks

Note: Upper part of both labels show a faint discolouration, probably from a removed sticker


Grading

All gradings are based on thorough visual inspection and a full audition.

The standard scale applies (M*, NM, VG+, VG). 

As a rule Near Mint (NM) is my highest grade. 

* I don't believe in Mint (M) and will only use it in the exceptional case

where I'm sure to be dealing with an item from unplayed and untouched stock.

I don't offer anything below VG.
