Description

From the personal archive of noted James Brown historian Alan Leeds. 
Maybe you've seen this record before but it's unlikely! , technically, it was never officially released and only a few hundred (or less) copies seem to exist.
K6111 was scheduled in  June, 1967 and both white label promos and retail copies were pressed.
Before it was shipped, Brown cut "Cold Sweat" which instantly stopped the presses and King 6111 was cancelled before it was shipped. (Oddly, it was released in Canada on their Delta label).
 King Records ordered K6111 scrapped  but somehow some copies survived and sat on the shelves of the King shipping warehouse.. When that warehouse was liquidated in 1973, all of King's back stock hit the marketplace including the few surviving copies of K6111!  How many exist? Nobody knows but they don't show up very often!
