Amazing !!! An unbelievable piece: What we have here is the ORIGINAL PRESSING of this classic Southern Soul masterpiece.

Let us be blunt: Anyone claiming to be a Soul/R&B buff , but who still does not own a copy of this majestic, extraordinary album deserves a good public flogging, Singapore style. 'Nuff said. There should be a law against not owning a copy of this album. Not loving this great piece of work is totally, utterly impossible. This is a towering giant among R&B/Soul albums. If your heart is beating, you gotta have – and love – this magnificent voice. We have spoken!

And, finally, if this is of any relevance (and I do not claim that it is) "You got my mind messed up " is an important entry in ►my personal top list. Other entries - in no particular order - include Otis Redding, Love, Sam Cooke, Dexter Gordon, Can, Tim Buckley, Byrds, Tim Buckley, Stooges, Five Royales, Eric Dolphy, Everly Brothers, Richard and Linda Thompson and Muddy Waters)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs - are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible, and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)           Stereo copies of this album are NOT believed to exist (except – possibly – as imports)

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

-         Tiny, microscopic chip / dent noted on paper slick on the back side (nothing significant) (less than 1/64 square inch in size)

-         Back cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting)

-         Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No ring wear

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
