Description
This is an original pressing of Jan & Dean's self titled first LP record on the Dore label in good condition. The cover has been taped on 3 sides with invisible tape and has some spots and wear as well as a stamp mark on the front cover. The record is very shiny and plays really good, it also has the stamp mark on one side, but it does have a couple of scratches on each side that produce a "tick" sound every so often, but it does not skip. The vinyl actually plays very clear with very little background noise. The poster originally issued with this LP is included here, and as you can see by the photo has a number creases and folds.
This rare record also comes with a 5" x 7" glossy photo of Dean Torrence holding his first LP. I took this photo when I had lunch with him in Huntington Beach, CA where he lives and is Honorary Mayor of Surf City. The winner of this LP will also receive the brochure for the Jan & Dean exhibit held at the Surf Museum in Huntington Beach in 2008, which Dean wrote. Feel free to ask any questions.
