Any money made from these Jan & Dean records will be sent to Jan's wife to help with the finances incurred by Jan's illness. Jan's wife Gertie took care of him for many years. As most Jan & Dean fans know. Jan was in a terrible accident in 1966 which ended his career. He spent many years learning how to read, write, walk, talk and sing again. And later toured and wrote more songs. In 1979 I had the pleasure of working with Jan. I taught him "Ride The Wild Surf" again. He had to learn all his songs over again. It was quite a experience. Many memories I will cherish forever. If you have not see the movie "DEADMAN'S CURVE" yet. It is the life story of Jan & Dean before and after his accident. Two years after Deadman's Curve was a hit, Jan lived the song. It is a inspiring movie if you are a Jan & Dean fan or not. From a good source, Jan's Father. He said the movie was well done and true to life. I am donating my Jan & Dean collection to help a friend. I also listed some records Sunday. Since then I have had permission from Jan's wife to list them this way.
