Description
Hello. Up for auction are 2 SEALED Janis Joplin albums. They may well be first pressings!! Hard to find this nice!!! 1. "Cheap Thrills" on Columbia KCS 9700, from 1968 or maybe 1970. With "Big Brother & The Holding Company". Sealed. Stereo. I don't think they made any more mono copies. Gatefold. Wide spine. Tight shrink. Nice corners. Vibrant colors. This record could have the "360 sound" labels, or it could have the orange labels. This sure has the feel of an earliest pressing. Stiffer and more inflexible cover, meaning stiffer vinyl. A little heavier feel to it. No way to be 100% sure unless you opened it. No gaurantees. Super nice shape. Most of these you see are pretty beat up. No record collection could be complete without some Janis Joplin. 2. "I Got Dem Old Kosmic Blues Baby" on Columbia KCS 9913, from 1969 or maybe 1970. Sealed. Stereo. Hype sticker. Tight intact shrink. Pretty nice corners and seams. 1 very slight crease on the back cover, upper right. See picture. Again, this has the feel of a very early pressing. Rigid and a bit heavier, I think. The labels could be the "360 sound stereo" versions, or the orange version. No way to know without opening it up. Either way, another blast from the past, the Woodstock era. Both of these albums are in super nice shape. They are getting harder and harder to find. These great classic albums will be shipped in protective poly covers and packed very well. Bid with confidence, as I have a 100% Ebay rating. I have been on here for around 23 years now. Any questions, just ask. I am in the process of selling about 1,600 albums. Most are still sealed. I combine shipping. Check out my other auctions and thanks for looking.
No returns on sealed albums. I do not ship to P.O. Box #,s. Please have a real address on file with Ebay.
