This is an ORIGINAL 1965 U.S. MERCURY OLYMPIAN RECORDS MONO 2 LP SET containing performances of Bach's Six Suites For Unaccompanied Cello. It is Mercury Olympian Records U.S. catalog number OL3-116, with its original 4 page foldout notes insert.

This is a rare and sought after piece that unfortunately has not been stored carefully over the years and could be in somewhat better condition - I have given this item a modest opening bid price to reflect its condition, I will leave it to the bidders to determine its actual value -- Condition of all three records is VG+ with each record having a very few visible surface marks which cannot be felt. Labels have a very few spindle marks showing previous light use. Records play with some very light crackly background surface noise; much of this could probably be mitigated with a professional cleaning, as the play surfaces of the records do not show wear from use. I have placed all three records into higher quality poly lined older Deutsche Grammophon inner sleeves, and have also included the original paper inner sleeves. Condition of box is VG with a number of flaws: All four corners of the top cover are torn and have been repaired with clear tape; lower box has a couple of splits in the middle of its sides; there is fraying and one small sticker along the edges of the top cover; photo on top cover has some light brown mildew spots; box has some general contact wear. Notes insert has once small crease near one corner and a couple of small spots of brown mildew discoloration. This sought after set is priced appropriately for its rarity and its condition, and it would still make a nice cornerstone addition to any stringed classical record collection!
