"Cargo"

Around this time CBS was experimenting with different kinds of audiophile records including half speed, digital recording, digital mastering and direct to discs. Some people have said that this album is half speed mastered, but since the print is mostly in Japanese, I don't know that. It carries the DM code which is for their series of digitally mastered albums.

The care and quality of this series is second to none. The record is in a rice paper sleeve, which is inside of a inner jacket, which is inside the regular jacket. Whether it is half speed mastered or not; I can tell you that the records from this series always seem to sound better than their American counterparts.

The heavier than normal LP is in beautiful condition with no marks or scratches on the vinyl. The jacket is also in nice condition with no splits or bends. There is just the tiniest bit of wear at the opening edge. It comes with the original lyric sheet, as well as a Mastersound catalog, an insert that talks about the different types of Mastersound LP's, a warranty card, and of course, the original OBI which is intact with no tears.

It has been professionally cleaned on a VPI 27 Typhoon record cleaning machine, and then again on a KL Audio Ultrasonic record cleaning machine.
