JARIBU AFROBEAT ARKESTRA/RYUHEI THE MAN

Let's Start (7" + insert)

Urban Discos Japan

Cat: AHS 56. Rel: 28 Mar 22
Funk/Rare Groove

Side 1. Let's Start Side 2. Let's Start (Macka-Chin edit)

JariBu Afrobeat Arkestra started out as an instrumental band playing Afrobeat. Like many musicians in this sound world, they were heavily influenced by the late great Fela Kuti but also bring plenty of their own unique spirit to their work over five fine albums since 2009. This time out they appear on a new 7" on Japan's Urban Disco's label with 'Let's Start.' It is an intense and uplifting jazz, funk and Afro melange that has mad guitar lines and cosmic synths all worked into he busy arrangement. On the flip, the one and only Ryuhei the Man serves up one of his edits.
