Description
JAZZ CONTEMPORARIES – Reasons in Tonality (1972) Strata-East-1972-2 – M-/M- (cover/vinyl)
An amazing modal / spiritual session by this group that included George Coleman and Clifford Jordan on tenor sax, Julius Watkins on French horn, Harold Mabern on piano, Larry Ridley on bass and Keno Duke on drums – basically a Strata-East jazz super group. This was recorded live at the Village Vanguard in NYC and features two side-long tracks – “Reasons in Tonality” (24:00) and “3-M.B.” (22:45). Rare.
This is a beautiful copy. The cover is tight and intact and in original shrink wrap with no wear or seam splits. The vinyl is super clean and glossy and appears unplayed. I grade this conservatively: M-/M- (cover/vinyl).
This is an original pressing. I do not sell modern reissues.
