RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC FROM THE ARMED FORCES RADIO & TELEVISION SERVICE.   TWO COMPLETE RADIO PROGRAMS ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO ARMED FORCES RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO U. S. TROOPS AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

"Jazz Is My Beat" radio program #1 from July 31, 1959 hosted by Jim Lowe featuring music by Elliot Lawrence & His Orchestra with guests Mary Osborne (female guitar pioneer) & Jackie Paris (jazz singer).  Songs by Elliot Lawrence & His Orchestra include "Mountain Greenery", "Irresistible You" Mary Osborne on guitar, "Look At Me Now" vocal Jackie Paris, "It's So Peaceful In The Country", "You've Changed" guitar & vocal Mary Osborne, "Goody Goody" vocal Jackie Paris, "Jazz At Bop-Land", "I Got Rhythm".  The musicians in Elliot Lawrence's Orchestra are not announces however, based on the announced lineup from another program in the same series, I suspect they include Ed Shaughnessy (drums), John Pepper (clarinet), Bob Kennedy (trumpet), Joe Bennett (trombone).    AN EXCELLENT LIVE JAZZ PROGRAM!   25 minutes

"The Bill Kemp Show" radio program #70 from July 31, 1959 starring Bill Kemp with Neal Hefti & His Orchestra, Betty Holt, Peter Hanley & The Noteworthies.  The program broadcast from New York City and was originally broadcast on ABC.  Songs by Neal Hefti & His Orchestra include "I'll Remember Today" vocal Betty Holt, "I Keep Running Away" vocal Peter Hanley, "When Your Lover Has Gone" vocal Betty Holt, "Katsumi's Love Theme", "Dansero" vocal The Noteworthies, "You On My Mind" vocal Peter Hanley, "The Things We Did Last Summer" vocal The Noteworthies, "Melody D'Amour", "Love Me Forever" vocal Betty Holt.  This is a very funny program with a very funny host!    Announcer is George Ansbro.  30 minutes

 Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent- to Excellent sound, Beautiful Disc!  

Due to their size, 16 inch discs will not play on most standard turntables.   For $10 I can include a CD transfer of the entire disc for the buyer
