Description
You are bidding on JEAN DE RESZKE L'AFRICAINE -FINNISH OF "O"PARADIS ARIA / SIEGFRIED OF THE FORGE SCENE
These two selections were taken from cylinders recorded by Lionel Mapleson in 1901. Since Jean de Reszke made no commercially issued recordings, these cylinders are the only known recordings of his voice. This IRCC issue was the first successful attempt at transfering the cylinders to a 78 rpm disc. It was issued only in a limited edition, of which this is #150 .
This record is in excellent condition and appears to be store stock unplayed side one. The labels and photos on both side are also excellent.
