Description
Jean Doyen, French pianist, born 9 March 1907 in Paris, died 21 April 1982. Enter 1916 at the Conservatory de Paris, studied under S. Chené, Louis Diémer and Marguerite Long, first prize 1922. Career since 1925, debut with the Concerts Colonne Orchestra. From 1941-1977 professor at the Conservatory Paris.

With 11 solistes des Concerts Colonne: Mm Darrtieux violin-solo, Alès 2nd violin, Lopes cello, Juste basse, Blanquart flute, Beghin trumpet, Dervaux trombone, Jean Doyen piano. Cond. by Composer, Gabriel Pierné. Recorded January 12, 1934. Condition: 2-3, scuffs. A very rare record !
