Jean Michel Jarre :- Slam
Original UK Master Room 12" 2 Sided Acetate
'A' :- Slam Mix 1 - 11 minutes 12 seconds
'B' :- Slam Mix 2 - 9 minutes 55 seconds
Acetates are metal based Recording Studio only Metal Discs coated in Nitrocellulose Laquer for tape - to - disc transfer , the sound grooves are lathe machine cut onto the acetate ...... (saying an acetate is 'pressed' is nonsense) An acetate is cut from the Master Recording Tape which is then transfered to acetate , sometimes the finished mix acetate is Electro-plated , and the mould taken from the acetate is used for the actual pressing of commercial discs . Very often acetates were used by many artists to hear how a recording was progressing , and to hear the 'feel' of the mix - maybe just one was cut in the studio , then taken home by the artist to listen to their new work in progress ...... Acetates by their nature are not intended for extensive play , as the sound begins to deteriorate if played too often - as mentioned they are usually used for 'work in progress' reference by the artist
The Disc has light signs of play .... bright surfaces .... no marks or wear .... bright , clean labels , minimal spindle use .... I have played the disc once on my Bang & Olufsen rig - it plays through really well : Graded at EXCELLENT condition.
Housed in black card sleeve

I usually start auctions at a low price to generate interest in bidding
All items are graded Audio / Visually , and played on a high grade system
Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I understand the requirements in the gradings of discs and sleeves , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised
I grade items ( using the UK Record Collector Grading System) beneath a light , to be sure of condition
I do not believe it is necessary to use the eBay buzzwords such as STUNNING !! RARE !! AWESOME !! , padded out with grossly long winded 'descriptions' ..... Many of the 'experts' who use this method of selling also add technical information , which is totally unfounded and does not correspond with the actual facts , and would be laughable but for the fact it is totally misleading. I take time and care to graded items correctly , and only list quality records , with concise , accurate grading descriptions
I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest !) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists 'live' ( I saw The Beatles twice and Segovia !)
I began selling professionally in 1976 , and have a wide knowledge of the items I sell (and always learning !) having bought copies of my own at time of issue , always being interested in the sleeve , label and disc variations. If you have any queries , I will do my best to answer correctly
Please check my feedback ratings , you will see that a large amount are from repeat buyers ( many thanks !) .... and in the event of genuine complaints will remedy the situation as soon as possible
All items carefully packaged using proper cardboard packaging (I do not use low quality preformed mailers)
The discs are placed seperately from the sleeves within the package to avoid splitting or damage . Items are sent promptly - usually within one working day of payment .
