This is no. 74 of a 100-only HEAVY pressing of this 'rude sleeve' version of 'Midnight Massiera'. Gorgeously packaged, the 'cock' sleeve print is stuck onto blue textured card.
The latest in a long line of mind-bending archival discoveries from one of the most reliably fabulous and musically astute reissue labels anywhere in the world - Finders Keepers. Jean-Pierre Massiera has often been described as the French Joe Meek and has long been high up on many a crate-diggers shopping list, but these 18 tracks are truly a revelation, veering from early-electronic style experiments through to insane African mutations, psychedelic patchworks, fuzz-funk, spooked-surf, interplanetary-prog and back again for one of the most engrossing and entertaining 50 minutes you can imagine. Highlights include 'Songe Mortuaire' - a deceptively straight exercise in classic Chanson that slowly reveals a plethora of unhinged production touches, the cosmic African patchwork of 'Mao Mao' with its insane repeats and heavy drums, and the absolutely killer soundtrack headf*ck of 'Kriminal Theme'.
