THIS RARE SET OF 4 - 78'S BY JELLY - ROLL MORTON IS COMPLETE WITH A RARE 8 PAGE INSERT (A biographical sketch and an authoritative analysis of his works, as well a complete explanation for each song, and the musicians that played on them, and the recoding date of each. The earliest title dates back to 1926, and one cannot expect flawless recordings, but a minor point as these records tell us how jazz was when it came north, and how the intruments of the melody sectioncarried out Jelly's dictum to always keep the melody going some kind of way). ALL FOUR OF THESE 78'S SHOWS PLENTY OF GLOSS AND LUSTER, AND THEY PLAY WITH EXCELLENT SOUND FOR VINTAGE RECORDS, AND THEY WERE TAKEN FROM RECORDINGS FROM AS FAR BACK AS 1926, SO THE SOUND IS AS GOOD AS YOU WILL GET IT AS THEY GRADE AS NEAR MINT. THEY WERE RELEASED ON THE ORIGINAL CANADIAN HIS MASTERS VOICE LABEL # 40 - 1118, 40 -1119, 40 - 11120, 40 - 11121.
