Description

JERRY GARCIA :  "Garcia"    LP      Warner Bros BS 2582

First US pressing from 1972, with green labels adorned with "skull and roses" Dead logo.

A RARE and highly collectible LP.

Includes songs which later would become staples in many a Dead live show later:

"Deal", "Sugaree", "Loser" and "The Wheel".

Matrix numbers hand etched in the dead wax read:

Side 1:   BS-2582   40053-1

Side 2:   BS-2582   40054-1

Superb NM wax, plays "like new".

A few very light superficial paper scuffs / hairlines visible under bright light but have no impact on sound quality.

Super high gloss remains.

Labels are clean and bright.

Nice EX jacket, with modest rub/ring wear.  Good gloss remains.

Front jacket color artwork and text are rich and clear.

Back jacket B&W text is sharp and bright.

Two tiny holes (from a staple?) present in the jacket front upper left corner.  (See photos)

Seams are solid.  Minor rub wear on top seam.

Spine is solid, with minor age staining.

No splits.

Spine print clearly legible.

SEE PHOTOS for more details.

Here find the RARE, highly collectible "Garcia" LP as a first US pressing, here in primo condition.  You will be very "hard pressed" to find another (unsealed) copy in similar much less finer condition.  Hoping this gem goes to a good home.

My Profile / Policies:

Note:  I've qualified for the "Top Rated Plus" seal from eBay, awarded to sellers who consistently deliver outstanding customer service.

Music is my passion.  I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll.  Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.

All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.

Wax is play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.

As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.

All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.

International customers pay shipping costs and duties per the eBay Global Shipping Program guidelines.

Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
