Description

Beautiful copy of the US Decca release of the original Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber, on Decca double-LP DXSA-7206. This is the original version, before any movie or stage production, when it was just a record, featuring Deep Purple frontman Ian Gillan, and soon-to-be superstar Yvonne Elliman. Both discs are just beautiful and play completely flawlessly and just beautifully. There are some very minor superficial scuffs but they don’t have any effect on the perfect sound. Truly a splendid sounding copy. The cover is also nearly immaculate, with only a little sticker residue at the top left, barely noticeable. Otherwise really just about pristine. The libretto is also included, in perfect shape as well. A top, top copy. Near impossible to beat.
