ULTRA RARE LP - Very rare, early copy of Jesus Christ Superstar in superb condition.
Not only does this feature Ian Gillan of Deep Purple in the title role, but with members of Juicy Lucy and Spooky Tooth (among others) providing the backing, this original recording has a prog rock feel which is far superior to all subsequent versions.
The disks have very early pink and red MCA 'bow-tie' labels and come in the rare laminated cover (only found on early copies). This copy has the following first matrix numbers
Side 1: 7-214-2
Side 2: 7-215
Side 3: 7-216-2
Side 4: 7-217
respectively. Clearly, this copy is that most coveted of collectors items - an absolutely First UK pressing!
