Description
This album was released in 1970 on the Chrysalis label (ILPS 9123), part of Island Records. It is the first stereo pressing on with Matrix Numbers ILPS 9123 A//2 and ILPS 9123 B//2. There are a couple of other numbers I understand to be 'stampers' which are hard to read, but look like 1 2 and 1 1 for sides one and two respectively.
I bought the album shortly after its release and have looked after it well. It has always been stored vertically alongside other albums in a record cabinet. The record is in excellent condition and the vinyl is virtually unmarked. I recorded the album to tape shortly after purchase and often played the tape rather than the album - hence its nearly new condition. It plays very well with superb sound and with no skipping or jumping and there seems to be hardly any surface noise or sound deterioration after all these years.
The front cover is in excellent condition with no marks or scuffs. The spine is clearly legible and the lamination along it is unbroken. The back is virtually unmarked but does have a (tear) mark about 2cm by 1cm in the top right hand corner (see second photo). I can only imagine this is where I removed a price label many years ago.The covers are printed by MacNeill Press Ltd.
The album comes with its original lined inner sleeve. It is in good condition with no splits, creases or tears.
I am willing to post abroad. Please contact me for the postage in this case.
