JETHRO TULL Minstrel In The Gallery UK LP Orig 1st Press A-1U B-1U MINT!

This LP is one of several Jethro Tull LP’s I am currently listing on ebay and the vast majority are in stunning MINT condition.  They are true archive examples of these great albums and it would be virtually impossible to find better copies than these anywhere.

JETHRO TULL ~ Minstrel In The Gallery.  Chrysalis CHR 1082.   This is an original 1st pressing on the Green Chrysalis Label with correct first pressing matrix of A-1U B-1U only found on the initial copies manufactured at release in 1975.  Also the relatively low mother stampers of RG and RT (21st and 29th stampers respectively from the EMI GRAMOPHLTD pressing sequence) indicate this is an early copy in the manufacturing run.  

The record is housed in its original un-laminated sleeve manufactured by Robor.

This LP is part of a small collection of Tull LP’s where the condition is quite simply outstanding. It is rare that I can say “this LP is as good as the day it left the factory” – but in this instance it is true!!!

Overall condition: MINT

Sleeve: MINT. 

The outer sleeve is in fantastic mint condition. Original unlaminated sleeve manufactured by ROBOR.  All edges are razor sharp and unworn. The front and back covers have no marks, creases or damage of any consequence whatsoever. This sleeve is in phenomenal condition, as good as the day it was bought!!

There is a slight anomaly with this copy as the front and back covers have been glued together the wrong way round and therefore when flipped over the rear of the sleeve is upside down.  I’m not sure how many copies this affected or whether this is unique, but just to emphasise this is a manufacturing anomaly and the sleeve itself is in stunning mint condition!

Lyric Insert / Inner Sleeve: MINT

Thick card lyric inner sleeve, all corners have been diagonally shaped, with the top 2 being longer diagonals. There is also a semi circular tab opening at the top opening edge of the sleeve. Fantastic MINT condition inner sleeve.

Vinyl: (LP) MINT

The vinyl is in Mint condition.  The record looks to have had a maximum of about 1-2 plays and is in really fabulous condition.

Side A: CHR 1082 A-1U 31922 - F

Side B: CHR 1082 B-1U 31923 - F

Low mother stampers - RG & RT (21 and 29)

I inspect all records under a very bright halogen lamp that reveals all marks and wear and I make my grading based only on what is visible under these conditions. 

Labels: MINT

All labels to both records are in mint condition. The labels are totally clean and unmarked

All records have been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s
