For sale here is a genuine first UK pressing of Tulls 1969 second studio album entitled "STAND UP". All in all, this is a really nice example, only let down by a mark (needle drop) right at the start of side one. Aside from this, the vinyl is quite beautiful with no marks of note. The cover is clean and tidy with minimal storage wear. The pop-up figures inside the gatefold sleeve work perfectly and are undamaged. A full description and play-grading below.
THE COVER:-                        Very clean sepia cover. Rear face is lightly age-discoloured with some wrinkling at the spine. Inner gatefold is very nice with fully working pop-up characters.
THE INNER SLEEVE:-                                      Generic white paper sleeve, die-cut with patent number text, Very clean and undamaged.
THE VINYL (VISUAL):-                                      Aside of the needle drop mark mentioned earlier (clearly shown in the final photo), this is a lovely heavyweight vinyl. 170 grams in weight, made to last as 60's vinyl was. No other marks worthy of note.
PLAY-GRADE:-                          Straight to the needle drop issue. This is clearly shown in the photographs and such a shame as it has taken the sparkle from an otherwise wonderful album. The mark causes a prominent "click" for about 20 seconds before vanishing. from there on in all I heard was 2 dust pops (should either clean out or play out) during track 3 on side one and another couple of dust pops at the start of side two. The whole album plays with great clarity and detail. A really nice listen to Jethro Tull in their infancy. Hard to believe this album is now some 56 years old.
If only that needle drop was not there!

Happy to post both within Europe and worldwide. Postage within Europe would be around £17. For worldwide, around £27. I will refund any excess paid as soon as I have it packed, weighed and costed.
