Cover Grading: Original generic company sleeve
Record Grading: VG < VG+. Pretty much closer to VG+. Check soundclips directly obtained from the item on sale. As you may hear, it plays very well with just some moderate surface noise -mainly at the beginning of both sides- not annoying at all once the music starts playing. Writings on both labels (check enlarged pictures below).
Comments: A very scarce item. It may also be quite more difficult to find than the other Jethro/Mothers EP pressed in 1972 .

- GRADING SYSTEM USED
(PRELIMINARY CLARIFICATION: We play-test every single item we list. Grades are given considering both, the visual appearance of the record under strong bright artificial light as the listening experience as well. If it is necessary, we grade both aspects separately)
Near Mint (NM)
It´s a virtually perfect record -maybe unplayed- with no flaws at all or just a few light marks (paper scuffs surely) only noticeable under a close inspection. It should play just like the day it was manufactured*. From 1 to 10, more than 9.5 points.
Excellent (EX)
At first sight it will still look like new. However, under a close inspection, it will show some minimal wear (scuffs and light marks), but it should not affect more than 15% of vinyl surface. Being a carefully and hardly used record, it should play like a NM one or quite less, with just some possible light intermittent surface noise*. Overall appearance: 9 points.
Very Good Plus (VG+)
Quite similar to an EX (and not so far from a NM), but with some more noticeable wear (scuffs and light scratches, without affecting the vinyl surface by more than 30%), it will still look pretty attractive and bring an enjoyable listening for anyone but the most demanding collectors, with clean sound and very low -if it is noticeable, depending of the kind of music- surface noise (a tic here or there or maybe some discontinuous and soft crackle during quiet passages or between tracks). From 1 to 10, a nice VG+ rates between 8 and 8.5 points.
VG to VG+
It is a transition scale that we use when the record is obviously better than a VG but not better enough as to reach a VG+ (between 7.5 and 8 points). We can also use < or > to indicate to which typical grade it is closer.
Very Good (VG)
If the word to describe a VG+ record is attractive, here we should use the word decent. A VG record will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor/mild surface noise, but will not overpower the music. It may have some clics or light pops, but of course no skips. Although it preserve some shine and luster, it may appear somewhat dull and grayish. Overall appearance: between 7 and 7.5 points.
Good (G)
Record will play through without skipping (unless otherwise advised), but with some obvious sound deterioration (surface noise and/or loud pops and/or light distortion) due to a considerable amount of scratches and scuffs. Overall appearance: just 6 points.
Fair/Poor
A non-playable record. If it is being offered, that is because it is extremely rare.
* Two aspects to take into account:
First of all, it would be quite boring and it would take me a long time to give all my records a depth meticulous cleaning. Sound quality can always be upgraded with a professional cleaning (good for you if you own a VPI machine!).
Secondly, on rare occasion, pressing quality of South American records could be not as good as American, European or Japanese ones. Nevertheless, we play-test every single record we sell and we will point it out any irregularities.price rating
