Description
On auction here is the very rare first pressing of Jethro Tull,s first album entitled this was. What makes it sought after is that is in rare mono.By 1968 most albums were in stereo so hard to find especially in this condition.Just have a look at the photos.I would also mention that in the March issue of the record collector magazine there is an extensive feature on Jethro Tull. One of the photographs from the magazine shows that this pressing with made in England on the label is valued at £300.
SLEEVE NM Laminated front and back. All edges straight, unworn, widespine fully readable unflattened , no writing or names.Inner sleeve is the Island original in good shape.
LABELS NM on both sides Spindle NM.Textured.matrix +A+B so earliest ever.
DISC NM NM This plays perfectly without any static or background noise,Will be very hard to get a better one..Just have a look at the photographs. The only very slight blemish is that at the end of side 1 there is a slight nick about a milimetre long but it hardly sounds just a few very light sounding clicks hardly worth mentioning but I always try to give as detailed a description as possible. The record has been cleaned by a special machine called a loricraft audio PRC-3.No sticking or names or writing.
I am offering free postage in the U.K .At present I am reluctant to overseas except R O I This is because postal services overseas are not reliable maybe due to pandemic. If overseas bidders are interested, please message me for postage. If I do send overseas,it is at the buyers risk and it could take time to reach the destination..Also buyers may have to pay customs or import duty and VAT.Good luck to all bidders .As usual £10 low start for the auction of this valuable record. .Will accept Paypal but Ebay arrange payment.
