Description
THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR THE SECOND LP BY JETHRO TULL RELEASED IN 1969 ON ISLAND RECORDS CAT NO ILPS 9103. THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING ON THE BLACK AND ORANGE CIRCLE ISLAND LABEL WITH THE ORIGINAL "POP UP" SLEEVE AND THE MATRIX NUMBERS OF ILPS+9103+A AND ILPS+9103+B.
THE ORIGINAL GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH SOME STORAGE WEAR TO THE EDGES AND CORNERS AND SOME LIGHT STAINING TO THE REAR. THE GATEFOLD AND UNIQUE POP UP IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. IT STILL LOOKS GREAT.
THE VINYL HAS RETAINED A VERY GOOD SHINE BUT THERE ARE NUMBER OF MARKS TO BOTH SIDES INCLUDING ONE OR TWO LIGHT SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES. DESPITE THIS THE RECORD PLAYS VERY WELL. IT SITS NICE AND FLAT ON THE TURNTABLE AND IT ONLY SKIPS A COUPLE OF TIMES DURING "WE USED TO KNOW". THERE ARE SOME POPS, TICKS AND BACKGROUND NOISE THROUGHOUT BUT IT WAS STILL A GOOD LISTEN. THIS IS PROBABLY BECAUSE TH EVINYL IS SO HEAVY THAT IT CAN PLAY THROUGH MOST MARKS. OVERALL I WOULD GRADE THE VINYL AS VERY GOOD-.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
OVERALL A PERFECTLY PLAYABLE COPY OF THIS RARE LP WITH A NICE COVER.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER CLASSIC ROCK LPS
I use the Record Collector guide to grade my records-see below
The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £2.50. I will pay the extra. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
