Description
This is the first Jimi Hendrix vinyl LP titled "Are You Experienced" on the Reprise label. Catalog number RS6261, a first pressing Stereo released in 1967.
I purchased the record new in 1967. It has been played exclusively on high end turntables and has a very clean surface. The label is in excellent condition with no spindle wear but there are hand written check marks before some of the titles (see pictures). This 48-year-old record is relatively free of surface noise normally heard on older records except for some typical “stylus on vinyl” sounds heard mostly between songs and there are no skips. This remains a great sounding record at high volume.
The outer jacket is near perfect. There is a very small tear on the top seam surface and two small staple holes at the top left front where the record store had attached the price tag (see pictures). The tear on the top seam is minor and can be easily repaired. The jacket rear is perfect except for the staple holes previously mentioned. The jacket seams show a few minor wrinkles but there are no seam splits.
The original inner sleeve with ads for other Reprise releases is intact with only a small seam split at the bottom center.
This is a beautiful record suitable for framing.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
Shipping to the USA will be via USPS Media Mail.
Attention International Buyers: Your purchase will be shipped through Ebay's Global Shipping Center. Your correct shipping cost is different than the shipping cost to USA locations. You can calculate your shipping costs and applicable import duty cost prior to purchasing.
