Matrix - 612001 A1 / 612001 B1 (with crossed out 'A' after the 'B')

Please read the description carefully before bidding -

This original UK Track Mono 1st Press LP plays well with no jumps or skips or any real loss of sound quality. There is some heavy crackle and a few low level pops at the start of each side, which subsides before the end of the first track. The rest of the LP plays well, such is the power and dynamic of this original Mono pressing, though there is some very occasional crackle and track 3 side 2 ('3rd Stone From The Sun') has 3 low level pops, so overall we have graded this LP as good plus. Visually, we grade this LP as good. There are no fingerprint marks, 5 or 6 hairline scratches on either side, surface marks on each side (particularly in track 1 on both sides which causes the crackle) and no paper scuffs. The labels are reasonably clean and are free from writing and marks with some spot stains on each side and some spindle traces.

The original plain 'Patents Applied For' inner is in very good condition, it is intact with no marks, stains or writing, just some browning.

The original Ernest .J. Day & Co 'Patents Pending' cover is in good condition. There is some scuffing to the corners and none on the edges. The spine is completely scuffed (see picture), no words are readable. The laminated front cover has some creasing coming out of the spine and edges and there is a small sticker removal mark in the top right corner. The unlaminated back cover has a little creasing but some rubbing and ringwear. Overall, this cover is intact, no stains, marks or writing. Have a look at all the pictures for further details.

Overall this is in good condition and is a great addition to anyone's collection.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
