THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE: ARE YOU EXPERIENCED
A rare FIRST PRESSING copy of one of the most in-demand LPs of all-time!
Labels: Track, silver on black - no damage or visible wear. As you'd expect, some faint spindle marks around the hole, only visible in strong light.

Sleeve: FRONT - Laminated front with very little lifting, trimmed a little short of the open edge which is slightly feathered. There are several half-moon creases in the area around the centre of the open edge and a few light creases to the top and bottom. As you'd expect after 44 years, the finish is not what it was back then but the surface still feels smooth to the touch. REAR - The matt back, the most common variation of the sleeve, shows age very easily and this one is no exception, although once again there is no damage. There is age discolouration generally and handling wear around the spine centre. The only evidence of ringwear on the whole sleeve is to the left hand side of the rear. The spine is rigid with the top surface and text worn away.

Vinyl Weight: 143 grams
Vinyl Condition & Grading: The vinyl is deep black, clean and little marked and plays perfectly; it has obviously been well cared for. It really does look and sound like it should and I have no hesitation in applying an 'Excellent' grade.
Playgrade: Overall, a highly dynamic and very clear sound with Jimi's vocals well to the fore and the backing vocals and instrumentation very well defined. Generally, almost totally silent between tracks.

Foxy Lady: No unwanted noise, except one click on the final note.
Manic Depression: No unwanted noise
Red House: A soft click about 30 seconds in, 2 more close to end of the first 12 bars.
Can You See Me: 1 soft pop at the start of the 2nd verse.
Love or Confusion: Slight surface noise at start with a soft click 30 seconds in, otherwise no noise
I Don't Live Today: A couple of soft clicks at the beginning

May This Be Love: No unwanted noise
Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire: No unwanted noise
Third Stone From The Sun: Some incredible high frequencies from cymbals and guitar, emphasised through the mono delivery. No unwanted noise
Remember: No unwanted noise
Are You Experienced: No unwanted noise (although it's really difficult to tell, there's so much going on!)
Album Played For Grading: Yes. (Equipment: Linn Sondek LP12, Linn Ekos arm, Linn K9 moving coil cartridge, tracking at 2 grams into a Cambridge Audio Azur 340A amp and out to a pair of Bose speakers with a Super Woofer)
