Description

You are bidding for a lovely copy of this terrific album from 1967 it being the very first uk mono pressing. I will grade it using the "record collector" magazines grading system strictly. This mono pressing sounds great and was pressed in fewer quantities than the stereo pressing.

SLEEVE// The sleeve grades easily in excellent condition with no rips tears or splits whatsoever and has always been well cared for. The colours are very sharp as pics show and the only wear i can see is at the corner where it opens and the hinged part at the spine but it is very minimal. The gatefold laminated sleeve printed and made by Ernest j day & co has some very light creasing in places due to handling but is very minor. The spine is in beautiful condition and has virtually no wear see pic of this. A very psychadelic sleeve that is always remembered as one of thee album sleeves of all time.The sleeve has virtually no egde wear as pics show.

INNER// The inner sleeve has some creasing and at the top left hand corner some writing with a pen but these inner sleeves are relatively easy to pick up so im going to grade this as VG because of the writing.

LABELS// The"TRACK" labels are in great condition but do have some spindle marks it was always well known that the black matt track labels showed this up more than any other labels.

VINYL// The vinyl i would give a grading of excellent it has been played a maximum of say 12 or 15 times but there is absolutely no deterioration in sound quality. It still has great sheen and is perfectly flat too.The vinyl plays through with no skips or jumps and has some very wispy marks from removing and replacing in its sleeve. There is one extremely light scuff on side2 but does not compromise the album at all i have double checked this i am probably being over critical but just wanted to mention it. The matrix numbers are as follows side1 612003 AV1 and on side2 612003 BV1 making it a very first pressing. If anyone has any questions please dont hesitate to ask and see other rare first pressings i am selling just now and in the coming weeks including a beautiful first press of pink floyds atom heart mother. So there u have it a lovely rare album hard to find in this condition and it will be sent royal mail next day delivery at a cost in the uk of £6.
