NOTE : THIS LP HAS BEEN FULLY PLAY-TESTED IN ORDER TO GIVE AS ACCURATE A DESRIPTION AS POSSIBLE WHICH IS DETAILED BELOW.... 

On 1967 Track Records 613 003 in stereo with A1 / B1 matrix stamps and still with its original lyrics insert. This is a very respectable copy indeed, well looked after despite being almost 40 years old. A masterpiece of production and engineering by Chas Chandler and Eddie Kramer respectively . Contains outstanding tracks such as the classic 'Little Wing', the exeperimental and psychedelic ' If 6 was 9' and the monumental title track 'Axis' with towering guitar work from the master himself. I've heard this in mono and stereo many times and personally stereo wins every time. An awesome album which still stands the test of time.

PLAY QUALITY... EXCELLENT (-).... plays really well....excellent stereo sound....there are no loud clicks/pops, no major ticks, no skips.....The tracks play excellent(-)  .....The (-) grade is given in allowance for the very occasional minute noise heard in a quiet passage of music and there are not too many of those on this album.  A little low level  micro static-like noise on initial run-ins / blank wax final run-outs...

THE VINYL...Visually  EXCELLENT(-), ...still retains a nice gloss sheen to both surfaces, with wispy hairlines & a couple of very superficial scuffs not affecting play, no serious/deep scratches. No warping or other nasty problems at all.

THE COVER...Generally VERY GOOD...gatefold front laminated and unlaminated interior are still in a very good condition.  The hinged spine is very good also although upper and lower corners have some wear (see ** below). There is no obvious evidence of any major  repairs. The edges show signs of average wear, a small nick in the laminate edge and some light creasing but all in accordance with age, usage and storage...When the gatefold is closed all four corners show signs of wear/rubbing (**). The cover has been hung as a poster during its lifetime and so has one clean pinhole in each corner (see pic) . Strips of celotape once ran along the vertical edges to protect them from feathering. These have long since been removed but light trace marks have been left from the strips. No residual stickiness and light effect on print inside. The opeining edges of the pocket containing the LP & insert now have some light wear but no tears/splits.

THE INSERT / POSTER...EXCELLENT (-)....designed by Paul Martin , an increasingly rare thing to survive and much valued,  predominantly orange with pink lettering of the lyrics ( Oz magazine style),  no tears, no repairs, no anotation, never been hung so no pinholes. Just has some creases and crinkles with age and a couple of very small spots,  the fold in it has not caused any major deterioration.

THE RECORD LABELS...EXCELLENT...clean , some spindle marks from normal usage, no anotation, no stickers and no print lifted.

THE INNER SLEEVE...EXCELLENT(+)....Polydor poly-lined inner, printed wording 'Plastic Bags Can Be Dangerous' is boxed.
