The Item

Up for auction is a definitive audiophile holy grail: The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Axis: Bold as Love on MONOvinyl. This is the out-of-print Classic Records reissue (Catalog #612 003), mastered by Bernie Grundman directly from the original 1967 monaural master tapes.

The mono mix is famously different from the stereo version, featuring more "punch," distinct vocal takes, and a raw energy that Hendrix himself preferred.

Condition Report

• Jacket: MINT. Sharp corners, vibrant colors, no shelf wear.

• Vinyl: MINT (Presumed). Still factory sealed.

• Shrink Wrap: Original loose-bag shrink is intact with the exception of a 3" split at the top edge. The record remains protected and has never been removed.

• Secure Handling: Your record will be shipped in a dedicated, heavy-duty cardboard mailer (LP or 45 specific) with extra cardboard stiffeners to prevent bending or crushing.

• Pro-Tip Protection: To prevent seam splits during transit, all opened records are shipped with the vinyl removed from the jacket (housed in its inner sleeve) and placed behind the jacket within a 4mil clear poly outer sleeve.

• 45s: 7" records are shipped with the same level of care in dedicated 7-inch mailers.

• 🚨 CONDITION POLICY: For opened records, returns are accepted if the item is returned in the same condition as sent. Any new scratches, sleeve scuffs, or damage to the jacket incurred while in the buyer's possession will void the full refund.
