·       THE DISC COMES WITH A HILLARIOUS NOTE (WHICH WE CAN'T SHOW YOU FOR THE REASONS WHICH WILL BE READILY APPARENT TO THE WINNING BIDDER) SENT BY SOMEONE AT RADIO STATION KISS-FM ON THE STATION'S STATIONARY (THIS WAS APPARENTLY AN ADVANCE RELEASE GIVEN TO THE RADIO STATION, OR PROMO RELEASE OF SOME SORT, ALTHOUGH THE ALBUM DOES NOT BEAR ANY VISIBLE PROMO MARKINGS) RETURNING THE ALBUM TO THE DISTRIBUTOR AND TELLING HIM TO REPLACE IT WITH A CORRECT PRESSING WHEN IT BECOMES AVAILABLE (THE HANDWRITTEN NOTE CONTAINS SOME, UM...RATHER FUNKY LANGUAGE)

Capitol Records released Band of Gypsys 2 worldwide in October of 1986.

There are actually only 3 songs from the original Band of Gypsys (Hendrix,Miles,Cox)on the album:
"Hear My Train" aka (Getting My Heart), "Foxy Lady" and "Stop"...side 1.

Side 2 has :
"Voodoo Child" (Atlanta Pop Festival) and "Stone Free" and "Ezy Rider" from Berkeley shows,with Mitch back on drums.

Ther are (at least)2 different US pressings of this record.

Somehow Capitol also issued side 2 as a mispressing with "Hey Joe","Hey Baby"(Land of the New Rising Sun), "Ezy Rider"and "Lover Man" on side 2 instead of "Voodoo", "Stone Free" and Ezy Rider" all from the Berkeley shows May 30,1070.

Hard to tell the 2 pressings apart as the same side 2 labels were used on both.
but you can clearly see 4 songs on side 2 not 3 as listed on the label.

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record comes in its its original PVC baggy

(c)           This is believed to be an ANALOG recording.

(d)          The album comes with the Radio Station's note to the Distributor (see above for details)

(e)             The record is pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

·       COVER

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD+++.

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1.

-        Cover has a few wrinkles along the spine

-        Small cracks in the paper noted on top and bottom seams, but NO split seams

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the spine and on the opening side (nothing significant)

-         Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged  (nothing significant)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No yellowing from aging

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No peel-off marks

-        No stains

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.
