Description
Jimi Hendrix - 'Band of Gypsys' - 1970 UK stereo release on the Track label - 2406 002. famous 'puppet cover' with hendrix, Dylan, Brian Jones and John peel dolls by Saskia de Boer. Stamped matrix numbers on vinyl are 2406 002 A1 and 2406 002 B1.
This is one of a number of records from my own collection that I will be selling over the next few months - I swore that I would never do this again but childrens' University fees etc demand it. Some of the records will be rare - basically I am only going to keep what I really like.
The sleeve of the LP is in really nice condition - absolutely clean with pristine lettering to the spine. There is just a little edge creasing and fine creasing to the top (R) and bottom (L) corners - I will grade as EX but this is quite strict.
The record itself has full lustre and plays extremely well with absolutely minimal surface noise. There are just a few spindle marks but it certainly has not been heavily played. Play marks are fine; there is some 'banded' marking which I think emanates from the lP being stored in its polythene sleeve - this is really only noticeable when the record is held to the light and does not effect play. I will grade as EX because of this but the record actually plays a clear EX+.
