Description

 Label: Track Record ?– 613008/9, Polydor ?– 2657 001 Format: 2 × Vinyl, LP, Album, Gatefold
Country: UK  1968 Here is the iconic Album by Jimi Hendrix. I will be as brief as possible as anyone looking to buy this album probably knows more than me and has more than enough knowledge of what they want. I will start with the matrix runouts. A-side 6130 ## a//1 169 then either 0 or c followed by 1 after the 6130 it is hard to make out as it has been crossed out

  • D-side 613008 B?2 420 1 2 2
  • B-side 613009 A?2 420 1 1 1 2
  • C-side 613009 B//2 420 1 1 1 2
  • The closest match on Discogs is release 7473665
  • On this version JIMI IS ON THE LEFT WHEN OPENED
  • The text is white (not blue) please have a look at this interesting link which suggests that the blue type is not the only first issue as suggested but it is just a print error

  • All the pictures are of the item and in the last picture I have taken it in front of a mirror so you can see that Jimi is indeed on the left (I am no David Bailey). Through the research I have done this was an error on the part of the people putting the album together and there are few of these copies in existence. In the rest of the pictures you can see that the cover is in very good condition including the spine inside and out and even though the outer section of the cover is not laminated it is in very good condition. I believe others are very tatty. The top part of front cover (the edge), has a 2cm scuff where you now see the cardboard and on the pictures I have shown the scuffing to the top and bottom of of the centre spine. The middle right of front cover has bubbling in places but this is apparently to be expected with the laminating technique used (I am sure you know all this already). This is not to say it is in bad condition because it most definitely is not.
  • The labels are all clean (see pictures)
  • The vinyl is clean and has some signs of play but nothing dramatic except for side D which has an inch and a bit scratch on track 1 to 2. However, I have played this album through and it plays without jumps or skips and very little noise if any except for the D-side which pops on the mark. This does not affect the needle jumping etc.Like I say plays through perfectly.
  • The item will be packed in record mailer with double stiffeners and bubble wrap and sent via Royal Mail signed for. I will pay for sending the album.
  • If you are not satisfied with the quality of this item I will take a return as long as you pay for the return postage. Item has been kept in a dustjacket and not played for a long long time until recently and I must admit I had second thoughts regards selling it however I have the original part 1/2 set individually and I want some money for a new guitar.
  • Do not hesitate to contact me and I will answer all questions as quickly and honestly as I can. Please look at recent feedback regards some other (Bowie Albums) I have been selling. I have researched this is much as possible and found many conflicting bits of info but like I say I am sure you know as a collector what you are looking for and indeed at.Thank you for your time in reading this
