Description

Here we have a 1967 LP by the Jimi Hendrix Experience called Are You Experienced. The album belonged to my uncle who gave it to me,but as I already have it on cd,I have decided to sell it.My uncle had a good single play hi-fi,even in the sixties so the record is in nice condition. As I know this is acollectable record,I will try to make my description as accurate as possible.Firstly, this is the detion with the laminated front cover and matt back cover. The laminated front cover has eight laminate pinch creases, two in the top left hand corner, two near the right hand corner, one near the bottom left hand corner, and three near the right hand edge where you take the record out, they range in size from one to two inches. The top and bottom edges are super with no wear/damage.The spine has some minor wearfrom the middle downwards. It does not affect the titles but the catalogue number is partially obscured. The matt back cover has three flaws:- some sticker residue in the top right hand corner, some very light minor creasing marks in the bottom left hand corner (only really noticeable close up) and two similar marks near the top left hand corner (again only really noticeable close up,and finally some light storage phasing (about three inches across) in the middle of the top and bottom edges. In conclusion, this sounds like a lot of defects, bit its mostly minor stuff and I want to give potential buyers a totally accurate description if possible. The vinyl itself is in very nice condition. The only real flaws are three light visible marks across tracks one two and three of side two.My uncle says these were there when he bought the record. The other marks on the vinyl are of the feathering type caused by removal from the sleeve.I have played the album through and it plays nicely (icluding across the marks) with little background noise (I have a Sony hi-fi system). In addition, the album is an early press with A1.B1 matrix numbers.Catalogue number is Track 612 001.I would grade the cover and inner at least EX and the record itself somewhere between EX and EX+ .My uncle reckons he played it no more than four or five times max and judging by the marks around the centre hole (very few) im sure thats about right.Any questions on anything I have not covered feel free to ask.I am starting the record at a low price as I always do with everything I sell.
