JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE Axis: Bold As Love (Barclay 820 167) RARE France 1st Pressing MINT-

Very RARE, original French first pressing of The Jimi Hendrix Experience`s "Axis: Bold As Love", released on Barclay Records (December 1967).
Rush-released for the `67 Christmas season, "Axis: Bold As Love" seemed slightly underwhelming after the runaway success of "Are You Experienced?". Nevertheless, this is a judgement by Hendrixian standards and the classics contained in this album ("Wait Until Tomorrow", "Little Wing", "If Six Was Nine", "Castles Made Of Sand") more than make up for the more mediocre material.
GRADING:
EX+(+) COVER with some creasing to the spine. Please see photos for details.
- Cover has a small punch-hole at top, center. The previous owner literally strung some of his favourite records up in his student pad;    "Axis: Bold As Love" was obviously one of them.
- Original Barclay "Panache" series pinched spine (top and bottom); as found on first pressings only.
EX+(+) RECORD in extremely good condition for its age!
- Minimal background crackle in between tracks.
- A few light hairlines, essentially from sleeve removal.
- A small, superficial scratchlet (about 4mm long, at the beginning of side two) is completely inaudible.
- Absolutely immaculate Barclay Records labels with no spindle wear whatsoever!
- This is guaranteed to be an original first French pressing of "Axis: Bold As Love", released in December 1967.
This record comes from an extensive, single-owner collection of progressive and folk-rock records we recently acquired.  These records were all bought at the time of initial release (1960-1970). Most are original UK or US first pressings. Due to the  size of the collection, most of the records were played a few times only: They will be found to be in the appropriate condition.

eBay`s maximum mailing cost for the US is predetermined at $4. Obviously, the pricing  system does not foresee foreign sellers listing in the US. However, we cannot possibly  ship a record to the US from Europe for this price. Please bid only if you agree with the  mailing costs as outlined above.
