Description

Radio one live recordi ngs by BBC radio at Playhouse Theatre and BBC studio for Saturday club 66/67

Lots great versions including neat cover of Beatles day tripper , Driving South and hound dog .

Killin Floor is driven by Jimi on adrenaline, so much temp on this..

First ever recording getting my heart back together amazing blues.

Catfish blues gas Jimi on a Fender Telecaster with the biting attack just leaping from speakers  these early shows had so much force and skill applied Jimi was frightening off all comers who became friends Clapton Beck and company.

Jimi also was using a left hand Hofner guitar on occasions so these formative live shows were the Experience getting 'tuned'

Both records Ex great audio, record says stereo but recordings are BBC mono for sure, great stuff !

1st UK press limited release on Castle records, good Mono sound cut on these pressings labelled as Stereo definitely mono by BBC here.
