SMASH HITS - IN SHRINK
ORIG. '69 COPY w/POSTER
This auction is for Jimi Hendrix Experience - Smash Hits ('69) - Reprise 2025. This is an original first pressing with the cover that states "giant poster enclosed." Later printings removed this advert from cover. The original poster is included which makes it worth the price alone. This is the original 2-tone Reprise label pressing that was quickly changed to tan. Also comes with original Reprise inner sleeve. This LP was the first appearance in the USA of 3 tracks: Red House, Stone Free, and Remember.
CONDITION: DISC: VG++, disc has just a few very light paper sleeve marks, certainly nothing feelable; LABELS: M-, labels are clean with just 1-2 very light spindle marks each; COVER: M-, still in original shrink wrap. Original price sticker was torn off shrink (upper right), 2 sections of the sticker (on shrink) still remain. Tiny bit of rub to the very tips of the cover's corners, but very sharp overall (see photos); POSTER: M-, poster in great shape, no writing, tack holes, splits or other problems. Would be beautiful framed. Just the faintest tape residue marks on BACK of poster at corners. Looks like someone put the poster on their wall for one week, then carefully removed the tape loops and stored the poster away. Hard to find a nicer one.
