Description
I was cleaning out some old records for charity donation when I came across this rare - & I gather now - much sought-after LP by the late great Jimi Hendrix. I'm NOT a dealer, so anything I tell you about it is gleaned from observation & recent research!
It's sat in my cupboard for all of 20+ yrs., never played - apart from today to check it's free from any noticeable scratches or jumps - & looks to be in almost mint condition. ALL tracks on BOTH sides appear to be nigh-on perfect in sound reproduction and I can see only tiny marks on the playing surfaces, which perhaps with professional cleaning would mostly disappear.
You'll have noted from my photo of the record's central label that the Polydor Records Ltd. serial number is "612003 p 1967" which translates from the sleeve into a MONO recording - I understand this is quite sought after!
The record comes with its original sleeve, which has 1 minor tear on the inner side (< 15mm), with a corresponding one on the outside slightly longer (<25mm.) : both could be expertly repaired so as to be almost un-noticeable. As you can see from my photo, there is also a rare orange liner printed with all the lyrics, copyrighted 1967 by Yaneta Co. Ltd. Nassau Bahamas.
