Description
Still in very good condition for being 50 years old. Paper scuffs, un-feelable hairline scratch here and there. Not much surface noise when playing, still a very fine listen. Bottom seam is starting to split at the opening end....the spine and top seam are fine. Some light ring or shelfwear. I bought it in 2006 in this condition and have since had it in a sealed poly bag after cleaning.
The record sounds very good. A tic or two on the first track intro, side one.
What is special about this pressing is that it is the very first, with matrix numbers being.... Side 1- 10681 R-6261-A 1-A Side two- 10682 R-6261-B 1-A.
Original FIRST pressed MONO release with proper reprise sleeve inside. Having had a listen to this mono first press, I have to say its a much different listen than either the stereo or the finely polished modern day remasters. And this mono version was meant to be played LOUD if you really wanted to "get it". Almost like a hardcore garageband sound they had at first.... It's really quite an ear opener.
