On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Jimi Hendrix Experience called 'Electric Ladyland' and is a 1968 UK Track 1st Pressing!!!! THIS IS THE VERY EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP AND IS EXCEPTIONALLY RARE!!!!  THIS IS THE VERY EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING WITH THE GATEFOLD E.J.DAY (BLUE WRITING) COVER, AND 1ST PRESS TRACK LABELS!!!!  THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE EARLIEST 1ST PRESSES AND LATER 1ST PRESSINGS IS THE COVER AND THE LABELS.  ON THE VERY EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS (LIKE THIS ONE) THE INSIDE OF THE COVER HAS LARGER PICTURES OF MITCH MITCHELL AND NOEL REDDING (SHRUNK ON LATER 1ST PRESSINGS), AND THE WRITING ON THE INSIDE OF THE COVER IS IN BLUE (LATER 1ST PRESSINGS ARE IN WHITE).  THE LABELS ARE DIFFERENT TOO - WITH THE 'UPSIDE MATRIX' NUMBERS JUST ABOVE THE CAT. NUMBER IN BRACKETS.  DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE RARITY OF THIS LP!!!!  THESE BLUE COVERS ONLY EXISTED ON THE VERY EARLIEST 1ST PRESSINGS!!!!  OBVIOUSLY THE MAJORITY OF SALES OF 'ELECTRIC LADYLAND' TOOK PLACE DURING THE RECORDS CHART RUN IN 1968 - AND IN MY OPINION IT IS FAIRLY OBVIOUS THAT THIS 'BLUE COVER' WAS CHANGED VERY EARLY ON IN THE CHART RUN - WHICH OF COURSE MAKES THIS LP INCREDIBLY RARE!!!!  AND THIS IS VERY CLEARLY SHOWN IN THE TINY AMOUNT OF THESE EXTREMELY RARE BLUE 1ST PRESSINGS THAT TURN UP!!!!  THESE BLUE WRITING 1ST PRESSINGS JUST NEVER TURN UP - AND OF COURSE IF THEY HAD BEEN MADE ALL THROUGH THE ORIGINAL CHART RUN (WHEN MOST OF THE SALES OF THIS LP TOOK PLACE) THEN A LOT MORE WOULD TURN UP!!!!  BUT THEY SIMPLY DONT - AND THIS SHOWS THAT THESE RARE 'BLUE WRITING' COVERS WERE CHANGED VERY VERY EARLY IN THE PRESSING RUN!!!!   OF COURSE - THAT IS WHAT MAKES THIS LP SO RARE - AND SHOWS THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE VERY EARLIEST 1968 1ST PRESSINGS!!!! THIS IS A LEGENDARY LP AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND THESE DAYS!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Track UK Stereo 1st pressing from 1968 and is in brilliant condition!!!! The Cat. No is 613 008/9 on the 1st Press Track label (see picture) and is a UK 1968 Stereo 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Jimi Hendrix Experience at their best!!!! Any fan of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, or 60s/70s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels on BOTH records are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in brilliant condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and BOTH records are in brilliant condition!!!! All sides are SUPREMELY shiny looking, with NO groovewear, and NO nasty 'greying' of the grooves!!!!  Visually sides A, B, and C have NO scratches, only a few VERY light non sounding wispy hairlines only visible under bright light and only a VERY few of the VERY lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  Visually all three of these sides must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  Side D has NO scratches, only a few VERY light non sounding wispy hairlines only visible under bright light, and 1 small and NON sounding scuffline and 1 mark  (which only causes a few barely audible clicks - NO pops).  Side D must grade visually Very Good+!!!!  BOTH RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is great to find that BOTH records play even BETTER than the visual!!!!  ALL sides play STUNNINGLY with NO pops, (only a few barely audible clicks on Side D from the one mark mentioned above), NO jumps, NO sticks, NO hiss, and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  Sides A, B, and C must play grade Excellent(Minus) if not better - with Side D play grading Very Good++++!!!!  The OVERALL grading for these records is Very Good++++ if not better - and these are a VERY nice set of records indeed!!!!  Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The records also come in their ORIGINAL inner sleeves!!!! The 1st Press 'Blue Writing' Gatefold E.J.Day Cover is in brilliant condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear (PERFECT laminate), barely ANY corner wear AT ALL (NOT through the colour), and NO writing!!!! The opening edges are beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! The inside has NO yellowing, and NO grubbyness!!!!  The only other thing to mention is that the inside of the cover does have more creases than the outside and some slight roughening in places to the inside centre spine - though this is NOT through the colour - and certainly doesnt affect the look of the cover in any way!!!!  I am not entirely sure why the inside of the cover would have slightly more wear than the outside of the cover - but at a guess I would say that the original shop who sold this cover - perhaps folded it the 'other way round'  to hide the artwork on the front cover.  Even so this is really is a BRILLIANT looking cover and is VERY hard to find in this condition!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  DONT MISS OUT ON THIS STUNNING LP!!!!
